When both women and men walk into our center, many of them are scared and hesitant to become parents. We find that this hesitation stems from not being equipped with the skills to be good parents. That’s where our Baby Basics program comes in. We offer a free nine week parenting class to men and women who have chosen life for their child. In these classes, we walk through the basics of caring for a newborn and beyond, while giving them the tools they need to be supportive, loving parents throughout their child’s life.
Additionally, our class covers important topics related to the first year of a child’s life. As the parents complete classes in the Baby Basics program, they earn “bucks” to spend in our Baby Boutique, which is filled with baby essentials, including diapers, formula, clothes and more. Upon graduating the course, parents will receive 200 points to use in the Baby Boutique and their choice of a graduation gift: a brand new infant-carrier car seat, pack and play, or baby monitors. All the items in our Baby Boutique are free to eligible parents and are donated by the generous people in our community.
